Baby Girl

This is Baby Girl. I've had her for 11 years. Because the dh is a light sleeper and hates pink - the color of my bedroom - she sleeps with me and my Blackberry. Yesterday, I came home to find her in a catatonic state in the middle of the kitchen floor in a puddle. Scared the crap out of me. I thought she had a stroke. Seven hundred dollars and one night in the hospital later, I learned that she had low blood sugar of undeterminate cause. The docs are still looking but let me take her home.

She's no worse for wear but a tad annoyed. She got home, let all the boys smell her and they seemed to bow. It was kinda funny. I'm keeping an eye on her.

Leverage

Still catching up on stuff I missed last season. I recorded and this during a marathon so I have all the epis. I've watched about half of them and each one is like The Italian Job or one of the Ocean movies so I really have to pay attention. Everyone - except perhaps Timothy Hutton - is pretty but the longer I've been watching I keep thinking how hot this guy is and why does he look so famiiar.

I'm sure all my fangirl friends know but I'm just a tad behind the times and found out this is Christian Kane, David Boreanaz' BFF. OMG - these boys have the market on the best arms and shoulders I've ever seen. As my friend, hpaich would say SLURP! If you get a chance to catch an epi this guy is pretty easy to look at, too.

Enough of this foolishness... Gotta go feed the critters.

ETA: Look what popped up elsewhere on LJ: Christian Kane likes to fuck people up; remains sexy as hell while doing so...

Been out of town and sharing TV's with the hubby for four days. Lots and lots of golf and absolutely no David. Consequently, I'm literally trembling with giddiness as I sit here watching Angel this morning. Much like an addict getting a fix. I see lots of Bones epis in my after work viewing...

Brithday Love

It's no secret that I love my birthday. I usually stretch the celebration out for at least a week and plan most of my own activities. I crave the presence of my friends and families and not their presents. And I always, always have fun. But this year has been so special I had to share.

First I was surprised by the owner of the auto repair shop where we get all our vans serviced. He showed up with balloons and a cake. Wow. We've known him for years and this is the first time he's ever done anything like that. So sweet.

Then my staff, knowing I don't eat sugar, ate the cake and made me grilled chicken salad for lunch with strawberries for dessert. I was so touched.

My plans this year were to get away with my husband for the weekend. He is in a softball tournament so we left a day early to have a day to ourselves to celebrate. He said he wanted to meander through Amish country and stop to get lunch, which was not surprising at all but perfectly acceptable. So I was completely unsuspecting when he brought me here:

He done good. He done reeeeaaaal good. This place belongs to one of his nephews who built it as a getaway. It's completely decked out with all the amenities of home. It's out in the middle of nowhere with plenty of flora and fauna and private enough to get and stay naked. LOL

Now he's gone off to his tournament for the day and will come back to get me tonight as the family is using it this weekend.

In the meantime two of the best writers in all the Bones fandom wrote me a fic for my birthday that is completely wonderful. It is Reaching Out and Reaching In by thegryphin and hpaich . I highly recomend that you read it.

I deleted my comments on the finale because I felt quite inarticulate compared to many of the comments/reviews I"ve been reading. My new plan is to comment (more than 'ITA") on these wonderful and eloquent posts on other people's journals. ;)

I'm going to pimp a fic. The fic is an absolutely gem but doesn’t seem to being getting much traffic – not sure why – finale fever, subject matter, new author. It’s not an easy read but well worth it. Check it out. It's really a gem and it's this author's a first fic.

Having actually had an account at Live Journal for some time now, I thought I should probably just break down and do a journal entry. I originally signed up to snag icons. Geez, I wish I could make them. I'm afraid if I learn how that instead of sitting at work and reading P/J fanfic all day, I'll sit there and make icons. Considering I own my business, it's just not good. So I will leave the icon making to those that do it well and I'll concentrate on keeping my employees employed while I occasionally escape into the realm of fiction to maintain my sanity.

I'm intrigued and impressed by the journal entries here and find myself clicking from one place to another as I peruse the thoughts of others. Good writers, full of interesting thoughts and ideas. I'm happy to be here.
